The meeting was a great opportunity to share the results and experiences of the project so far, as well as to receive feedback and guidance from the EAB.
The meeting was also a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and culture of Haugesund, a coastal town in western Norway, known for its fishing and maritime industries, as well as for its historical and natural attractions. We visited the Alginor facilities, where we learned about their innovative process for extracting valuable compounds from seaweed.

- Strengthen the collaboration and communication among the partners
- The presentation of the pilot-scale biorefineries for the valorisation of macroalgal residual biomass
- The demonstration of the innovative products obtained from the ALEHOOP proteins, such as healthy snack bars, smoothfood, meat analogues, sports drinks, meal replacement shakes, and fruit preparations.
- The dissemination of the project’s objectives, activities, and outcomes to the public and the media, through the project’s website, social media channels.
- The evaluation of the environmental, social, and economic impacts of the project, as well as the identification of the best practices and recommendations for the circular bioeconomy.
