6th General Assembly meeting

EV-ILVO was the kind organizer of the meeting, which took place in their facilities during the 6th June and at a institucional building on the 7th. The first day in the morning, despite the hot weather to be in Belgium, the team gathered there and received the welcome of Nuria Valdés from Contactica (our coordinator) as well as Nathalie Bernaert and Sofie de Man.

After, each work package leader from WP1, WP3, WP4 and WP10 presented the progresses of these last 6 months, with the help of the rest of each team. A lot of interesting conclusions and results were exposed and everybody could ask questions and discuss.

After these first presentations, the in person-attendants participated on a guided tour through EV-ILVOs facilities. We visited the plant as well as the labs, where many tests take place. Besides, we saw the consumers’ test room. Seeing the equipment that EV-ILVO’s team uses in their everyday work was nice, as the rest of the consortium could see how they carry out their research for ALEHOOP. We were alblo to see the pilot plant being use in WP4.

After, the Consortium went to Nuscience facilities to have a guided tour through its facilities. Nuscience is in charge of preparing feed additives from the protein extract so the visit to the facilities was really interesting and useful to understand the procedure of this production. Geert Brugemman was in charge of leading this visit.
